Type Locality and Naming
Named after the village of Akmulla, Malguzar Mountains. A.N. Golikov in 1984 (1988), (460, p.61).
Synonym: Akmullinskaya Suite, Акмулинская св.
Lithology and Thickness
Siltstone (aleurolites), interbedded with polymictic, quartz sandstones and slates, occasionally with layers and lenses of gravelites. Thickness 250m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
According to A., the lower boundary is conformable with the underlying formations of the Almalyk Fm
Upper contact
The upper boundary is not established. (460).
Regional extent
South slope of the Malguzar Mountains, left bank of the Sanzar River, basin of the Zaaminsu River.

Contains Middle Ordovician graptolites - Glyptograptus aff. teretiusculus (His.), Glossograptus cf. hinckii (Hopk.) and others; chitinozoa - Desmochitina minor Eis., Conochitina simplex Eis., C. schopfi Taug. (165).
